I originally bought and used a POWER A DualShock 4 charger with a FREE USB cable and it was enough for one side to stop working completely. As with a number of products, if anyone encounters a similar problem with no abuse or reason, I was looking for a viable alternative and stumbled across this product from Japan. This device appears to be well built and sturdy. I am happy with the purchase. Pros: - The packaging is high quality and durable. As expected, all instructions were in Japanese. Nothing to learn here though, just plug it in and plug in the controllers. - Allows you to charge two controllers at the same time without any problems. - You don't have to worry about damaging the controllers when you put them on the charger. - It is made by Sony Japan and not by a third party. Cons: - While this is a great charger, it's not as easy as the POWER A DualShock 4 Dual Charger with FREE USB Cable when placing the controllers on the device. The "Power A" has a spring mechanism that notifies you of the correct connection. With this device, especially the second slot, I was looking for a connector with a controller, which makes installing the controller a bit difficult. However, this seems to be the only problem I've encountered. Overall I can highly recommend either this product or the "Power A" as both devices do their jobs very well. I've had another device for over a year with no problems, but as I said, the inexplicable failure of a used adult device like this raises concerns about repurchase. I paid full price for both devices and would definitely recommend this one.
