Used Cricut to cut color samples and uneven cardstock, but always had trouble with the paper not sticking to the mat. An even bigger challenge was lining up small patches of color to make sure I got as many shapes as possible in one piece. With these shots I can tell exactly where I'm hitting and wasting material. It is DEFINITELY much more convenient than operating a cutting machine. And these punches keep my parts consistent so I don't have to worry about miscutting or misaligning the paper. There are only a few pieces of cardboard that these punches will NOT cut through, so using the punch and cardboard that came in the package I made a template/stencil and drew the shapes onto the thick cardboard to cut out by hand. I also like being able to cut into three different sizes for smaller pieces. Great investment for me!
