Review on Sony Z9F 3.1ch Soundbar with Dolby Atmos, Wireless Subwoofer & Surround Sound System for TV - HT-Z9F, Black by Anand Kumar Singh ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality is ok on the whole, it has some small flaws.

I won’t say that the sound really surprised me, but it obviously doesn’t pull out for a budget of 45,000, in the next room there is an old model of the sony ht st7 soundbar - the sound is much better there, but there is no dolby atmos in it, I read about this technology, I really wanted to try - I can say with confidence - it's definitely not needed in the soundbar, the old model with standard dolby digital and dts decoders does this new product in full program and in sound quality and volume - all these are marketing moves so that there is something to lure customers. Also, my old ht st7 was not controlled through the application and did not connect to the Internet, this also played a role when buying ht zf9, but in fact all this turned out to be unnecessary gadgets, since the Internet is connected to the TV, and I mainly watch youtube, and the soundbar via the Internet only receives audio from the Internet, and the application works worse than the native remote control, sometimes it glitches.

Cons
  • The main drawback of the model is the constantly spontaneous subwoofer, it goes into standby mode while the soundbar is working. At what I can’t find the reason in any way - it happens at very different times, sometimes it works fine until the end of the movie, and sometimes just turning it off from the outlet helps to start it. While a little disappointed, I will add a review in a month.
