***Update. Upgraded to 1 star because shortly after I wrote my first short battery life review, the device completely stopped charging. Looking at a few other reviews, this product appears to have a lifespan of 4 months. It's a shame because although the battery life was short, I still liked the product. At least it comes in a nice case that I can reuse for something else. The shape of this file is great, it is easy to maneuver on different parts of the foot, for which it gets 5 stars. However, since the battery life is very short, I give it 3 stars. When I use it, it stops working before I can walk more than 1 foot with ease. I don't have big calluses on my feet. I use this foot file about 1-2 times a week to even out any roughness, for example when I'm walking on the beach and my feet dry out from the salt. I may have received one with a defective battery. If it weren't for the battery, I would heartily recommend the file.
