The glue included in the parts was confusing at first, but I later found that this is actually a great addition for better fixation (not necessary but useful). The pillow is not cheap, which surprised me. The box isn't designed to carry too much weight, but that's ok. I added a fluffy blanket because my cats like to stretch their paws around the edges (and I like to ruin them), but that's not necessary either. The furniture is very solid and a bit heavy and I like it. Costs money.
