I have installed over 50 sets of countertop lights in the last 10 years. This kit is amazing, it has everything you need! Next time I would choose a light color of 3000K versus 2700K, 2700K is too yellow. As for the 12-inch distance, it seems close, but it was perfect, with no hotspots and good coverage. 1 remote control worked simultaneously with two sets on opposite sides of the kitchen, just press the remote control and both sets will light up and go completely dark. I ordered Self Adhesive Clips through Revain to eliminate cable slack rather than cutting and soldering each strand. Very high quality kit, best I've seen in the last 10 years /B01MTYRVKQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I used the screws provided and pre-drilled the holes, it took 4 hours to install two sets of 10 each. I will buy again! Lights are only 3/8" thick, easy to hide! and no heat dissipation, the whole kit draws only 25 watts for 10 lights!
