The perfect transition from swaddle to hands-free wearing

Our daughter started laying tummy to back at about 2.5 months and by 3 months she was too big for her SwaddleMe swaddle. stylish diapers. She seems to fall asleep faster and sleep better when swaddled, and tends to wake up or be distracted when her hands and arms are completely free (so no sleeping bags were used), so we tried a few other transition swaddles. We first tried the SwaddleMe pod, but the neck was too big and she kept pulling her arms through the neck hole. I didn't think a SwaddleDesigns bag with hands would fit as I was concerned she might fiddle with her hands, but the slightly shorter arms (which obviously help combat the startle reflex gently) and the ability to turn the handcuffs on or off undressing was ideal. She sleeps so well in it and I really think it has helped her to better recognize when it's time for sleep or naps - when she's sleepy and ready for bed I slide her in and she almost always starts sleepily rubbing her face with her little hand. covered hand and comfort us to fall asleep, and to wake up in the morning when we don't want to get out of bed but she gets up and leaves, we open one or both hands and she likes to distract herself a little before we get up . It's a lot easier to change a diaper in the middle of the night as you can zip at the bottom, and they stay secure as you just have to zip them up (don't worry about the velcro being too tight). or too loose). ). I also love that I can leave her in overnight or early in the morning to feed the baby if I plan on putting her back to sleep afterwards - she likes to rest her hands on my chest to make the changing... stylish Diapers were a pain because I had to unwind it (LOUD velcro noise) and then rewrap it when we were done (lots of squeezing) - with them I just pick it up, nurse it and put it back in. She doesn't roll over in her sleep at this point, but I feel comfortable knowing her hands are free and she's safe rolling over. In general, I'm very happy with them (I have two of them, and frankly, a third one wouldn't hurt). Bonus: She looks like a little snow angel when she sleeps due to her shape. :)
