I could not properly snap the base into the suspension seat of my F-150. I've tried half a dozen workarounds to ensure the small metal contacts make contact with the lamp holder contacts. There are no dice. The base of this item seems to be too thin and it literally falls out of the mount when you try to put it back into the lens. I fully inserted the object into the base holder and then went to put it back into the assembly and it literally fell out of the holder and hit the lens. Luckily I was able to use long needlenose pliers to surgically remove it from the lens, but heck this item will never stay in the mount unless you literally solder the pins.
