This is a replacement for a 7443 dual filament bulb. I replaced the turn signal/parking light on my 2002 Honda CRV. Yes, you need to add a pull-up resistor to prevent hyperflash. Wow just wow. I use them for my turn signals and they definitely signal. They are bright white and make the car look really modern. A word of warning! Some cars require some resistance to guess if a lightbulb has burned out. When a turn signal is malfunctioning or has burned out, you will usually hear a rapid beeping sound with a very fast flashing turn signal indicator on the dash console. Easiest to install, just pull out the halogen lamp and then insert the LED, they can only work in one direction because they are notched. However, at least the 2016 Colorado needs a resistor. Installing one on each side (there are three sockets (two for 7443 bulbs and one for 921 bulbs) causes the remaining 7443 halogen to surge, which will burn out the smaller filament in the bulb. I could not properly snap the base into the suspension seat of my F-150. I've tried half a dozen workarounds to ensure the small metal contacts make contact with the lamp holder contacts. There are no dice. The base of this item seems to be too thin and it literally falls out of the mount when you try to put it back into the lens.
