I didn't have much room for a bedside table on one side of the bed but I needed something there so I looked for one that was the right height. but not too "big". It's perfect - it doesn't take up too much space, but it's durable for its size and not too expensive. I also love the drawer and the fact that I can put stuff on the bottom shelf and the top shelf has enough space for my alarm clock, tablet and one or two other things. , base plate and legs (two-piece) that are screwed on. The only tool I needed was a pair of pliers to remove the plastic covers on the screws as not all of them came off easily. I would say it took me about ten minutes to put it together. Stand with no visible damage, looks like the photo.
