I use this in bed and watch streaming on my laptop while lying down like the lazy POS that I am. Works great for that. Although it might not be the best choice if you have a protruding tummy - I don't. I found out about it on the permanent 11Foot8 Bridge Crashes YouTube channel. Keeps the heat of the laptop off my stomach and lets it breathe with the help of a regular-rated fan. However, I recommend going with something wider than a 38" double bed if you fall asleep watching something and roll over regardless of your height. , your prized desktop laptop may be game over - you're adding even more height to the case. Thing is pretty wide, 20 inches. Otherwise, just be careful and you'll probably be fine. Probably. It's size makes it a little bulky for a daily commute, but that's not too bad. It has some weight, so I probably wouldn't take it on a bus ride or anything. Like I said, I'm lazy. Storage compartments will likely come in handy in the future. The light works brightly, although I've never had to use it. The fan is working great so far. I have no squeaks and background noise. Powerful enough for what I do with my laptop. From the user guide 4 USB 2.0 ports and max output current 1.0A. That amount doesn't charge my phone (the charge icon flashes and doesn't go above 14% when I've tried all 4, so my phone is probably using more battery than it is gets), but I don't expect these ports to do this as needed for loading. I haven't checked other USB apps - probably should do the trick. As mentioned in other reviews, the legs are plastic. The table is made of plastic. Everything is plastic. Still serves its purpose as my third partner in bed and my laptop as my second. :( Good buy.
