Okay I gave it a 4 for sound quality because this is a jack that sounds as good as your headphones can sound. Nothing about this connector or any other connector will degrade the sound quality in such a short time. It's a five in every way because you don't need gamer headphones, use any and already enjoy the game and enjoy the game. Being able to control the volume on the fly via a controller is great - you'll probably need headphones for phone calls. and listening to music are good enough or better than buying a bulky headset unless you're a gaming pro, which I am. I'm just a guy who loves to play games whenever he can and gets sucked into one from time to time and loves the full gaming experience but likes to be minimalist.
