Not a very good experience overall. I've gone through quite a few of these over the past few months. Do not recommend under any circumstances. It has to constantly unplug and plug in again to make a good connection and really work, and eventually it stops working together after a short while. I recommend using a different brand or just getting a mute headset.

I didn't buy this for a controller but for a headset that didn't have a mute button. I used a 1' 3.5" extension and then took out the headset. Without an extension it can only be connected to a PS4 controller. Okay I gave it a 4 for sound quality because this is a jack that sounds as good as your headphones can sound. Nothing about this connector or any other connector will degrade the sound quality in such a short time. It's a five in every way because you don't need gamer headphones, use any and already enjoy the game and enjoy the game.
