Update Edit: Okay, I downgraded my rating to the end. this thing is absolute garbage. PERIOD is not connected. The trick I mentioned in my ranking below worked for about 2 days. Now it won't connect at all! The microphone connects normally, all other connections work fine. But the controller doesn't recognize that at all. DO NOT BUY. If you do this, you will throw your money away. Okay, I bought this because I needed a way to turn off my mic while gaming. I have headphones connected to the TV and a microphone to the controller. I ordered it so I can turn off the mic. When I received it and plugged it in, PS4 registered it was plugged in and immediately unplugged. But if I tugged on it a little, it reconnected. I thought the 3.5mm plug was bad so I contacted the seller and replaced it with a new one. But the new one does it too. It's almost like the plug on the adapter is too long. When fully inserted, it will "pass" the connection point. Now my mic, headphones and other 3.5mm jacks connect to my controller with no problem, so I know the problem is with the adapter. However, I found a trick that seems to work. If I take the adapter, rotate it 90 degrees counter-clockwise, insert it all the way in, and then rotate the final bit clockwise to align the outer connector, it registers and stays connected. Strange yes, but it works. I gave 3 stars because it doesn't work properly but works after the mod. And the seller replaced very quickly with no problems. I wouldn't normally recommend this, but due to the lack of other adapters for adding "built-in mute and mute" to connect to controllers, this is better than nothing. hardly
