This cable sends an L to one 1/4" end and an R to the other - AMAZING!I needed to connect my iPod to a Behringer mixer, this cable solved the problem PERFECTLY.With just one adapter I lost a channel, this splits into 2 separate mono channels to get L/R stereo into 2 mono The cable is flexible and easy to use and I ordered a second one so I can plug in my ipod and cell phone at the same time for remote interviewing podcasts I have a blackview secure phone the case fits snugly the audio jack, so I had to attach an adapter cable to the end of this cable, just to physically fit in my phone's tight connector space. I didn't take any STARS for this as it is a feature of my phone and not the cable. (see also 10" extension cable, black) Since my mobile phone has a robust housing and requires a very thin adapter to connect it, I simply attached it to the end of this splitter cable.
