Absolutely normal! Right price for quality.
Nice chair. Not luxurious. No solid body. But you can adjust the height, back angle, back height, buttock angle and arm width to get what you need for a good day at work. It's a bit difficult to ride, but my back feels good and I'm a big guy. 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds. It is safe to sit in.
