Review on 🚜 Little Tikes Big Digger Sandbox: Dig into Endless Fun with this Exciting Play Set! by Lamar Hopkins

Quarry, with 2 drainage holes! My 4 kids love it.

We had holes in the bottom of the cups for storage so this seems to have been fixed. Several drainage holes were drilled at the bottom of the main body. We filled ours with 1 bag of pea gravel. It seems very strong - we lifted it and moved it several times along with gravel. My biggest "buddy" even dropped one end of it about a foot into the concrete and it didn't break. My four children aged from 24 months to almost 10 years love our "job". The two youngest - 24 months and 4.5 years old - play it every day and we've had it for a week so far. They all play more than expected on the lid of the playing surface. The lid gets stuck in the cracks when putting it on for play, making it difficult to pull it apart again at night, but I found I could just pry it out with the handle of a spoon and then it's fine. I bought dinosaur bones to hide in there at the request of my 9 year old son. The built in excavator is great, although it makes removing and replacing the lid a bit tricky as it's a bit wider than the lid's opening. (I may have yet to figure out a better way to do this. UPDATE: the trick is to turn the excavator sideways and then slide the cover back into place). It rained a couple of times but stayed dry inside, although with fine gravel and drainage holes it's not that hard to get wet. All kids love the included toy and take advantage of the ramp formed by the connected cover. Perfect size for our apartment. Little ones can fit in (one at a time) and big ones can play sensory basket style. We are very happy with our purchase and the price we paid.
