Pain moving the lid

The lid needs to be lifted and moved to the ramp, it feels nice and light until you attach the crane arm and find it is interfering with the lid. seriously a big pain to work around the faucet. I would definitely return it if I see fit, but this item took too long to arrive (lost in the mail twice) and it seems horribly empty. Good. To update! I'm very sorry I didn't send it back. It's partially covered by the top of my deck, and yet somehow the lid is glued so tightly that it FILLS with water!

Amazing, hours of entertainment, well worth it!

I'm so glad I bought this sandpit! I've only been using it for a few weeks and I've already paid my money back! My son is 14 months old (about 32 inches and 29 pounds for size comparison) and loves to play with it. At the moment he's small enough to sit inside, but he's also happy to stand next to him to play with (so if he's too big to fit in, he'll still come in handy)! He has a lot of fun with the attached excavator and the toys that come with it (shovel, digging tool, dump truck, little…

Money well spent :)

I bought this for my son when he was a year old. He is now four years old and we are still happy with it. A few things I learned: When the sandbox lid is closed, do the holes in the bottom opposite the backhoe look like they could take a pole? Drill holes in the ground to allow them to drain, otherwise nasty, smelly, annoying things will happen when it rains. - The lid is not waterproof! It seems yes, but no. - I can't pick it up if it's full. 50 pounds isn't an issue, it's the weight, shape…

Great sandpit with lots of play options

What a great sandpit! We recently bought this for our son's 3rd birthday and it was a very good investment! For a little guy obsessed with trucks and construction, this is the perfect combo. Now he has a 'sand factory' to work at and in the 2 months we own it he's worked easily 75 hours! It's small. Don't expect a few kids to get in, it's not that big. This is a bonus for me personally because he (with parents or friends) can gather around him and play and not be left with sand in opaque…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • There are some downsides

Quarry, with 2 drainage holes! My 4 kids love it.

We had holes in the bottom of the cups for storage so this seems to have been fixed. Several drainage holes were drilled at the bottom of the main body. We filled ours with 1 bag of pea gravel. It seems very strong - we lifted it and moved it several times along with gravel. My biggest "buddy" even dropped one end of it about a foot into the concrete and it didn't break. My four children aged from 24 months to almost 10 years love our "job". The two youngest - 24 months and 4.5 years old - play
