I will answer my questions first. I don't like that it has thinner padding on the bottom of my Xbox and no padding on one side of the controller. Apart from all that. This is a great carrying case for my Xbox One X (Standard). It has lots of padding at the top and separates the various storage spaces. My Xbox fits /tightly/ in its intended place. It doesn't slip at all and doesn't bump into anything. (Picture: I left the pen compartment inside. I didn't need it, so I decided to leave extra padding. Last example: I press my finger on the bottom foam to show it's really thin.) It fits to my HDMI 4k cable, /one/controller, power cable, external hard drive with nameplate and my dock/cooling pad. Everything I could possibly need except an extra controller. Everything seems safe and secure. The plastic case is very durable and not cheap. If you want a high-end tote, buy one. (It is completely filled with foam and includes the necessary parts to remove or reinstall.)
