Designed for K-cup machines, these cups will not fit K-cup machines without modification. The problem is that the spike used to pierce standard coffee mugs isn't positioned to line up with the holes in those mugs, so the lid won't close. I first drilled larger existing holes but that didn't work. I ended up having to cut off the lids so the tip could penetrate the coffee. That seemed to help and I was finally able to have a cup of coffee. A lot of work for a cup of coffee. The problem here is the design. If the lid had a rubber section through which a water hose could be poked, there would be no problem. The piercer simply cannot puncture the plastic cover. People should be aware of this flaw before considering buying these mugs.
