The printer does not print if you do not have Windows 10

Hello, I bought this printer yesterday and tried to install it and from the start I got an error message saying that a critical error has occurred. Please contact tech support, I was told this printer doesn't work on Windows 8.1, I had to buy Windows 10 Home, tech support told me they can boot the OS remotely, the price of Windows 10 Home was $199.00 so I had to purchase this program before this printer will work, information on this issue should be included in the printer specs.
