Handles fall off

I was seriously going to love this but I understand why everyone is talking about the lid handles falling off. They mostly fell out when I took the container out of the box. I seriously considered returning it but then just taped the handles back on so I can use it somehow but they fall off their hinges almost every day. I'm sure it won't take too long. Such a great concept, but such a stupid design flaw. I really need this container to send lunch to my daughter's daycare - I want to send it in a glass container but it needs to be shatterproof. Now I need to find a similar container but from a different company.
