I have Giro Rumble cycling shoes size 8.75 US Men's (42 EU). I ordered these cases a medium size and the sizing chart seems accurate: a size 9 would definitely be the limit for them. I would say the correct way to stretch them is to first tuck your toe all the way in and then tighten the heel by grabbing/pulling the heel base under the zipper. At the end of my ride, the only spot that felt a bit cold was the floor/sole area, probably due to the "radiator" effect of the metal cleats. For future rides I might try to isolate this spike area better by using tape under the insole. Otherwise, they do an excellent job of keeping the wind out and allowing you to use ventilated summer shoes for winter rides.
