Review on 🧽 Dawn Scrubtastic Non-Scratch 3-Pack Sponge, Medium Size, in Yellow by Kristina Perez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Convenient all-purpose scrubber/soap dish

This non-scratch Dawn 7170 Scrubtastic scrubber has a tough yellow side with fibers strong enough to cut through dried cheese after soaking, and an orange sponge for a soft touch . the side that foams well. There is a pointed end on one side, and a small sponge is convenient to climb into the cracks of the dishes. If you're just using a cleaning sponge, this is a pretty good compromise with two sides soldered tight. However, I'm picky about my cleaning products and prefer to keep the soft sponge separate from the scrubber (brush and pad) so I can choose which one to use depending on what I'm cleaning. The soft side of the sponge is a bit thin so it doesn't foam as much as I would like and the hard side is good but food sticks to the crevices so it doesn't feel as clean when I use the soft side . OK. I'm a bit picky here. I find it to be a very handy all-in-one (although I'm overly critical) and that it comes in a 3-pack is very handy. Update: After using this sponge for a week or two, I decided that I liked the shape and feel (the rough side softened a bit to make it easier to bend), but the rough side wears out - it falls apart and quite fast (in the penultimate photo). I'm not deducting any stars for this as the sponge is still very useful, but just an update: ok it's been 12 days since my first review and I use the sponge daily for regular meals - no extra use. or heavy use and you can see obvious wear on the yellow hard plastic part of the mop (last photo). I'm changing my 4 stars to 2 stars because I think it's pretty bad for a useful sponge and pretty bad for the environment with all those plastic bits going down the drain.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • For the elderly
