Size XL measures exactly 45 inches from end to end. The belt buckle holes are between the 37" and 41" marks. In this respect, the size given in the description is not correct. The belt is also 1.5 inches wide. I had to exchange for a smaller size because of the wrong size label. L is exactly 44 inches from end to end. The 6 belt buckle holes are between the 36" and 41" marks. Almost the same size as XL. The only other difference is that the size XL was brown inside as shown in the picture. The L belt I received was black inside and out. where you attach a quality buckle.
