The lanterns look very pretty but there is no question as to their durability as they only last a week. There were some installation issues. We used self tapping screws with a screwdriver but due to the tight space between the bulb and the hole it fits snugly so use a screwdriver with a bit so make sure you use very small heads or use the Phillips version . Due to the size of the cables, divided into 4, you cannot put the control box in the cabin and then get out only that part. The only way to do this is to run 8 separate cables into the cabin. Another problem we encountered is a short between "hot" and "ground" where the terminals are already connected. If you want to run it directly from the battery, you need to put the control box in the engine compartment, which is not recommended for you. It would be better if they left these connectors to add at the end of the extra cable you need to add. Of course, the connectors are too small in diameter to fit over the battery. Our biggest complaint is that one of the lights continued to ground the system when we screwed it into the truck's metal frame. You know you have this problem when you try to turn off the light through the app, instead the light just goes solid color and won't turn off. To fix this, leave it off in the app and turn off the lights one at a time until they go out. If so, you know which light is causing problems. I'm assuming it's just that one lamp that's causing problems as none of the other lamps gave us any problems. Luckily they are nice and bright, the cords are very long so we didn't have to use an extension cord (a shame we have a huge amount of cord pulled by the flash in some places). White is true white, which we found to be an issue with other branded money we've tried. Aside from the above issue, they are one of the best devices out there from what I can tell within the first week. I hope my grounding problem is a one-time problem. I will update this on durability in a few months.
