Advantages: Easy installation. Comes with everything you'll ever need for installing in different locations and includes some cable management tools to make it look less messy. The brain of the product allows you to switch between 30 seconds of light or up to 6 minutes of light. Disadvantages: The sensor is very sensitive. The cable from my wife's iPhone charger powered it. If I extend my arm about a foot off the bed, she lifts it up and turns on the light. This may be due to the sensor being on my bed, but due to the way my bed is set up I am currently unable to place it anywhere else. The light is very bright. I'm really surprised this doesn't show up in the reviews. When one side lights up, the whole room lights up. I squint at the brightness in the middle of the night when I get out of bed. so much so that the first night I turned off the lights because it was so bright. I started with the light on the floor and it was too bright. So I switched them to where the light was shining in, towards the bottom of the bed and it was still very bright. I can try erasing the strip with a dry erase /highlighters or something like that, but neither my wife nor I leave them on because they are so bright these days.
