Review on MotorFansClub Cross Bar Roof Rack Compatible With BMW X3 F25 2011-2018, Baggage Luggage Carrier (Not For 2019+) by Aaron Webb

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sturdy crossbars for roof box, does not fit perfectly, but you can make it work

Bought these to support a roof box, bikes, and kayaks for my 2018 X3 m40i. They work well, have locks, look nice, and are half the price of the BMW ones. However, if you have a G01 X3, you might find that it does not fit on the front side. This is because the roof rails get wider towards the front, wider than these crossbars. The way to get it to fit is to install it towards the middle of the roof and then slide/shimmy it towards the front of the car. It is able to get pretty far forward this way, but it is definitely not a perfect fit.

Pros
  • Attention & Fitment
Cons
  • No Locking Mechanism - One of the biggest cons of this product is that it does not come with a locking mechanism. This can be a major issue for those who want to secure their luggage while traveling. Without the ability to lock the luggage on the roof rack, there is a risk of theft or items falling off during transit
