The bottle is excellent. The outer lining makes it easy to hold, so it doesn't easily slip out of your hands. This is a great 1/2 gallon glass bottle with no cap. I don't use it for IVs and such. Also, this piece of infusion cap still looks tiny. The main problem is that the whole design of the cap is not durable! Therefore, the cap is mainly divided into two parts. One is steel with a handle, the other is plastic with a screw (with a silicone gasket and steel interior). Unfortunately if you look at the pictures nothing is holding them together other than friction and maybe glue if mine ever had one. I almost dropped the bottle because the steel handle on the cap came loose. OK, I can handle it. What I can't handle is screwing the lid on properly every time! So if both parts are loose, imagine unscrewing the cap. You have to hold it by the plastic part (which is flimsy) to unscrew the cap properly. Otherwise, the steel toe will continue to rotate. It's frustrating. I don't understand why they designed such a lid that doesn't include anything to hold the parts in place. However, I have contacted the company with my order number for a replacement and they are still asking for my address even though they may just be looking at my order number! Find out. So I changed my mind about the exchange as the design speaks for itself. Why wait for that steel part of the cap to come loose and shatter your bottle on the floor? I left out the steel lid handle as it is now much easier to open and close the plastic lid. I hope this helps and the company develops a better cap.
