It was so easy to snap it onto the back of my Acer monitor (SB220Q). I then attached the plate to the desktop mount. The plate was bought because my monitor is ultra-thin and doesn't yet have screw holes on the back. The photos show the back and bottom of the monitor so you can see the gap between its connector and the panel. This is a big gap, so it should work for full-size monitors (not just ultra-thin ones). From the front it is not noticeable that there is a gap. I only gave four stars because I paid $19.99 for the mounting plate (and the arm mount I attached was $30 too), so naturally I wanted it to be cheaper. But it was SUPER easy to install with a click and go compared to the unit I bought but ended up returning.
