Why all these positive reviews? This thing is TERRIBLE! I can't imagine how anyone could find this useful at all. I can't find a single professional for this. Ignore my really disgusting nails. I cleaned. My rating of this item is as follows: 1. There are huge gaps under the "walls" that make it impossible to carefully sort the items. I have large, heavy hanging trays about 3mm thick, but they still manage to slip under walls and slide into other compartments. Also stacked with a "safely" closed lid. The smaller of my pieces made it to slide completely to the other side of the box and mix with the other pieces. View photos that do not do justice to the failure of this point.2. Fragile plastic "latches" are difficult to engage and extremely unstable. And when I say weak, I mean it. Imagine buying multiple sheets wrapped in this transparent rubber material. These latches correspond to the protrusions used for store display.3. The layers don't even stack properly. You must take extra care to ensure that every layer is nested securely and without gaps with every assembly. This includes the lid. Otherwise, the content will most likely end up on your floor. The bays are detachable and modular (to an extent) but very difficult to reassemble. They keep slipping out and there is no way to lock them, increasing the need to keep your items in place. Extra: The walls need to face the right direction as there is a notch on one side for the beveled bottom edge. Not that it matters at all; Your pieces will still get messed up no matter what you do. I considered using silicone sealant to hold the dividers in place (to prevent the contents from getting mixed up), but honestly? I can also return this and spend the $2-3 I would have spent on sealant to buy something better. I should also add: I received this item late last night and decided to return it by 11am. It is currently returning to the Revain camp. It was an epic failure. This contradicts the purpose of the organizer. I had everything neatly folded in a clear tackle tray my sister bought me at a tractor store (almost free. But they don't carry them anymore) and when I switched to this "organizer" all my hard work dividing everything down the drain. DO NOT BUY THIS! Especially for anything even remotely flat. This CAN work for organizing cubes, marbles, or Lego, but WILL NOT work for jewelry, nails/screws, or other small items. This was a big disappointment. I will only buy individual 24 compartment organizers and use velcro to stack them inside each other (so you can remove them individually).
