I'm new to needle and thread so maybe I don't have the "right/correct tool" but I had to use a thread attachment to get through the loop to attach it. never mind I've hung 15 of these from the skirt of a Christmas tree and when you move them the bells ring, although many of them aren't obnoxious at all. The bells have a very pleasant sound. Rustic metallic tones are really cool. I am very happy with it and would buy it again and will probably still use the filament attachment.
