I have large hands and have found the Joy Con Grips that Nintendo makes and that contain the Joy Cons compress my hands and are uncomfortable during a long gaming session. These grips don't add to the overall length of the controllers, but they make it a little easier to press the SL and SR buttons and provide a little more grip on the back. I didn't test the charging function, but that was never a problem for me anyway. Finally, the release to remove the handles works well, but it's not as easy as the first set of handles. Overall it's a decent option if you're looking for an upgrade to the included Joy Con pens, but nothing special. If you have big hands and don't want to use those grips for motion control, there are much better options that are much more comfortable.
