Very frustrating to work with

I can mostly handle the instructions in Chinese as English is enough to figure it out. However, I am very frustrated that NONE of the SMD parts are labeled and I cannot read them even with a magnifying glass. In addition, they claim that many of the parts are 0805 when most are actually 0603. To make matters worse, it didn't have enough 470 ohm resistors, and of course they were 0603 instead of 0805. I'm only half done, but might not be able to finish it. There is no reference to the importance of tiny capacitors, and tiny SMD parts are almost impossible to measure with my Fluke 87 (gold tip) gauge. . Of course, this is only my second SMD soldering project, but I have a lot of experience with electronics and through holes. Part identification is essential when using SMD. I just made some SMD boards (still waiting for them to arrive). When I bought all my components from Digikey and Mouser, they all came in separate packages that clearly stated what was in them. This allowed me to sort them and put them in their respective bins, which were also labeled. Even surface mount integrated circuits are very difficult to read. I don't know why they do this, but the gray on black that only appears in MUCH light is driving me nuts. I carry a flashlight with me so that there is enough light under the magnifying glass to read it. Again, they should be placed in small bags and labeled.

Pros
  • soldering and soldering accessories
Cons
  • Slightly torn
