Let me clear that up first. What really annoys me is when people write product reviews because of PRICE. Review the PRODUCT and report it here. Do not falsify the rating! J&J has discontinued the price of this product for some reason and the demand is high. The rules of supply and demand, folks! OF COURSE you pay more. For those who say buy it elsewhere for $5, GOOD LUCK. It's out of stores now (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, kmart, Toys R Us, etc.) and has been for 6 months. Checkout at Kmart. It smelled and felt good and cost $2. Win. I brought it home and started using it on my one year old daughter and noticed that when she wore it and we were out in the evenings (short periods of time) she came in with little to no mosquito bites which was unusual for her. . Oddly enough I read reviews online and in fact people have been using it as a bug repellent too. MAD about it as an insect repellent is more accurate. Let me explain why this is such an asset in our family. We love spending time outside on the porch, but since my allergic husband and daughters are so attracted to mosquitoes, we had to use real bug spray. I don't know about others, but I hate going to bed with bug spray on. Because of this, I have to bathe my kids every time we go outside, which happens quite often. This product saves me from having to do it at home ONCE AGAIN. Will I use this when camping in the deep forest? Probably no. And in the evenings at home on my porch? YOU PUT. It is effective for this purpose. Does it annoy me that I paid $19 for a bottle on Amazon 2 months ago? Yes, especially since I initially thought it was so cheap. Today it was listed for $13, which I hope is a good sign. I'd like J&J to be clear about their intentions for the future of this lotion, but until then, to me, the price is worth the benefits. I'll just REALLY save what I have left over.
