So I bought this CPU fan because I needed a small fan so I could mount my GPU vertically. I have a Gigabyte B550 aorus Elite with Ryzen 7 3700x on Noctua website, this CPU is compatible with this fan. I used to have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition but due to the size of this cooler I couldn't mount my GPU vertically. So it's much easier to install the Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 on an already assembled system first if you don't have a motherboard. .now cooling 7 3700x in stock, my temps were too high which didn't suit me. I did some tests and it went up to 95 plus celsius with the Hyper, I get 70-75 celsius but the Hyper gets noisy, the Noctua runs quite well at full power. Speed but this cooler can handle the heat generated by the Ryzen 7 3700x so I had to return it and when I went back to Hyper I decided to try an AIO cooler instead. This should work fine with lower powered Ryzen. this cooler is also small, fits my mainboard perfectly and doesn't take up any space, so the ram and graphics card don't get in the way.
