Review on Nikon D810 Full-frame DSLR Camera Body by Virot Wrintharawet ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, good quality, not bad.

the device was bought (second-hand, at a nice price) to shoot a subject, in addition to the d750, which could not completely replace the d7100 in terms of image detail. the main conclusions about the camera are just made by comparing the experience with the d7100 and d750. With good optics (I use Sigma Art 35, 50, 85 and Nikkor 24-70 / 2.8 fixes), the camera produces an excellent image in terms of detail and sharpness, with pure color (from previously used Nikons) and huge opportunities for post-processing raw. At the same time, the cheaper d750 outperforms the 810 in AF, noise at high iso, ergonomics (the screen built into the body on the d810 is perceived as greetings from the Stone Age), and overall speed. Therefore, if you do not need pictures with maximum detail, then the d810 will be redundant, because. the lighter, cheaper and faster d750 will be able to do the same + it will do it faster and it will be more convenient to work. ideally, these cameras complement each other, I use the d750 + 24-70 for reportage work, and the d810 with fixes for filming where speed is not important and there is less requirement for af. Paired with 85 art 810ka, it allows you to shoot very decent portraits - in terms of color, tonal transitions and plasticity, the matrix is \u200b\u200bdefinitely better than in the d750. I hope the information is useful. All of the above is a personal opinion and does not claim to be the "opinion of last resort". I will answer any questions here or in FB.

Pros
  • - the highest detail and sharpness of the photo, using high-quality optics - a huge margin in shadows and highlights when working with RAW - color rendition - Quiet shutter with very pleasant sound - quality performance - high autonomy of more than 1000 shots on a single battery
Cons
  • - low ISO threshold with acceptable noise and its unpleasant character (compared to d750) - uncomfortable grip (compared to d750) - not convenient control (compared to the d750) for me, the biggest drawback is the illogical arrangement of the controls, and given the simultaneous use with the d750, this is just a disaster. - blurring at shutter speeds longer than 1/3xFR

I've owned the camera for a year now and have never been disappointed.
