Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ EXTECH HD500 - Advancing Precision in Temperature & Humidity Measurement with 30:1 Infrared Thermometer by Michael Reynolds

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You get what you pay for

Compare it to the Sling Psychrometer in terms of performance. The IR temperature sensor is so-so, but comes with a more accurate K-type sensor that you can plug in. Three stars mean how cheaply it was built. It has a "permanent" appearance, although it's actually very thin and looks like it's about to break. Example: After removing the dust cover, which is badly needed in my work, I go to remove it and everything falls apart. Why is the tube that holds the sensor that gives you an ambient reading badly screwed and made of plastic?

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
