Review on Scubapro Wrist Computer Transmitter Included by Jeremiah Vishwasrao

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great watch as long as it's reliable.

Great watch when it's running! I ordered two and expected them to be brand new as they are marked new at Revain. This was not the case. Despite being from Divers Direct, one of the largest scuba gear retailers, they had scuffs, missing parts, non-identical packaging, one was already paired with the transmitter and one even had 4 dives in the 3 months prior to when I ordered it it. The first failed after the third dive. He didn't intervene. I returned it and got a refund two months later but lost money on shipping, fees and import duties. The second had a compass failure during this time. It's not pointing in the right direction anyway. Then the next day after returning the money for the first second died just like the first. I'm returning it now. My 2 Aeris Atmos Elite computers with transmitters one still working have lasted 15 years so the reliability of these two Scubapros even when in use literally sucks. Now I'm thinking about Shearwater computers, but it pisses me off that I have to do this when I think this computer and its features are superior to any other computer in this price range. You might get lucky, but if not, be sure to check it out. Sometimes this is the only thing that prompts the manufacturer to investigate.
