I bought a good tripod for my Super 8 camera in the last millennium and I still keep it because it was the best I had but this one is better. liquid head and height. I can finally raise the camera to eye level and even over the heads of people standing at the event! The only minor issue is that the liquid head makes it difficult to fine-tune aiming, as it tends to bounce back a bit after you stop pressing. If I focus on a license plate 200m away and try to center it, it tends to move sideways over the license plate after I let go of it. Of course, fine-tuning the aiming screws would be nice, but that would add a lot of price and weight, so forget it.
