So I was looking for connectors on this cable. I cut off the male end and took off my jacket. It seemed to me that the conductor was thin. I checked the cable jacket and it says UL1007 18AWG. That raised my eyebrows. I checked my wire stripper and the conductor is closer to 24 or 26 AWG. It's fine for a pair of hard drives (1007 26awg can handle 4A) but I wouldn't use it to power a pair of water cooling pumps. It should still work for my application. Not sure where the fault occurred with the wire manufacturer or the cable assembly manufacturer (possibly the same company but unlikely). As far as I can see they don't claim 18awg in the listing.
