Passport barely fits

My passport (USA) barely fits in my designated pocket. I had to work hard to get it the first time and then after a few puffs and inserts it at least loosened up enough that it wasn't that hard to use, but barely. I'm also afraid that the seams will soon come undone due to the tight fit.
