I have a Dell M6800 and it requires a 240w PSU. When my original power supply gave up the ghost after 7 years of use, I took the plunge and bought this one. I should have given more importance to the reviews. After about two weeks of use, I sporadically got an error message that the power supply could not be recognized. I bought this power supply in May 2020 and in July it was out of order. While I wasn't happy that it went wrong, I was even more unhappy that it went wrong. It literally started smoking and then caught fire. As you can see in the photo, the cord caught fire and fused with the brick. (When this happened the cable was initially fully embedded in the brick. In an attempt to do an autopsy I attempted to pull the cable out of the brick.) You get what you pay for rather than risking another potential problem, I decided to spend the extra money and go straight to Dell to buy a replacement.
