The biggest concern with replacing a third party filter is that it will fit and not add extra work to the machine. This filter fits snugly onto the Levoit, which is important for its original functionality (improper fit means particles will pass through the filter and render the machine virtually useless). Also, although the fabric is slightly different from the original part, this filter appears as if the machine is not drawing too much air (which will wear out your machine faster). In addition, the quality of the air leaving the filtered end is similar to the original quality.
