I'm an athlete and wanted something lighter and more breathable for the spring/summer months. The jacket is definitely both. Don't expect it to keep you warm in any way. It's very thin, some say, but given the high price, one can hope that it will hold its shape after several months and many washes. The material should have been softer - it feels like the polyester on the sleeves is "biting" the skin as the sleeves are snug. But it looks classy and elegant.
