Difficult to describe as I used Chi Rocket many years ago. But this hair dryer is powerful and doesn't dry my hair as fast as my old Rocket but doesn't leave my hair as brittle as other hair dryers. who cook your hair until you split ends. Works very well and you have to use it several times and you will find that your hair is shinier and not over dried. The only negative is that the packaging is a serious joke. It comes in the manufacturer's original packaging so everyone can see what it is. Also, the box isn't even sealed with tape. Honestly I thought that if I damaged mine or the hair dryer the end caps would be missing because it just falls into the box which is so easy to open. For the money this hair dryer was worth I would be afraid it would be damaged when it got to me. But surprisingly it wasn't.
