I had high hopes for this foam umbrella. It was tested installed on the windshield of my Shure Beta 58A pod and it looked great but was difficult to install. I took it off again to put the mic back in the bag and stuffed the foam cover into the accessory area. Preparing for my next gig, I try to put the foam cover on my mic and it immediately rips from bottom to top. This has never happened with the OEM Shure Foam Case after about 20 uses, but the design is different. The On-Stage coating has a much narrower opening/edge than the Shure, with more material to wrap around the entire windshield sphere, making it more difficult to apply, and the foam probably isn't flexible enough to withstand being pulled over the ball. Microphone screen. It (looked) a little better before it broke but it didn't last after the second use.
