I want to keep mosquitoes and ticks away without spraying myself and my kids with a bunch of toxic bug sprays in the summer. So this soap is perfect for us. It smells very nice and cleans well too. I cut the board in half with a sharp knife to put in each bathroom we shower in. On really bad nights, I can always spray some non-toxic bug spray just for extra protection. But not buying this soap with the right combination of essential oils is great. Much nicer than all perfumed soaps which are so common that they actually attract insects. So thankful to have found this product!
