Update: A week has passed. I've tried Febreze, letting it air out on the balcony, vinegar, essential oils, baking soda and whatever else I can think of to get the fishy smell out of the bag but nothing worked. The manager contacted me, apologized and offered a refund which I accepted and am currently processing. The bag cannot be used unless you know a reliable way to remove the fishy smell from the fabric or the smell doesn't bother you, but the customer service was fantastic and unlike anything I've experienced from Revain . I hope the smell goes away because I will be ordering from them again based on the customer service experience alone. I'm not used to checking things as soon as I receive them. I usually like to use an item for a few weeks before I can make an informed decision. However, that was the verdict I was able to make as soon as I opened the box that this bag came in. When I opened the box, a strong fishy smell hit my face. I quickly emptied the box to find out where the smell was coming from. When I opened this package, the smell was so strong that I had to step aside to regain my composure. He smelled like he'd lived his whole life on a wharf or on a fishing boat. The package had a lemon pouch which I had pictured inside which tells me they know the smell is a big problem but they have yet to figure out how to properly deal with it. The lemon bag did NOTHING for the smell. Ironically, the bag smells more like the crab pictured on the packaging than lemon. For now I've sprayed the inner lining of the bag with Febreze fabric spray and air it out on the balcony, but I don't think I'll be able to use it for even a couple of days until the stench has gone. fully. Smells awful. My order included this bag, a cardigan, a robe and a few other small items. Everything I've ordered has a soft finish, stinks to high heaven just because it comes in the same box as this bag. To add insult to injury, the zippers shown in the photos do not match what you actually get. Nothing wrong with that, just a little lemon juice in an open wound. The bag is very cute and I suspect I will need it one day, but for those who are sensitive to smells like me, you might change your mind, especially if you have other soft items in your order, like clothes or bedding (thanks , goodness gracious and new that the mattress topper I ordered was shipped in a different box!).
