I have ordered bamboo children's toothbrushes for the children (big mistake!) and some for myself (worse!). Love the idea of using less plastic and was excited to hop on the bamboo brush trolley. However, after three uses, my lips and the inside of my mouth started bleeding from rubbing them with wet bamboo. I think some people could brush all of their teeth without brushing their lips or gums, but I couldn't. I was very surprised when I started spitting up blood as I hadn't had a problem with bleeding gums for a very long time. My lips were ripped off as were the soft spots in my mouth (not my gums as I first thought). Also, the bristles are weird and didn't feel like they were cleaning my teeth. I must keep looking for a decent eco-friendly toothbrush! Meanwhile, I'm stuck with three unused toothbrushes.
